And speaking of my sister and our trip to Texas, I have so many photos and stories to post, but coming back home always brings about that "Where do I even start?" feeling! There are suitcases to unpack, laundry to wash, notes to write, food to buy, schoolwork to get done, meals to prepare, calls to return, etc! I have been slowly uploading photos, and hope to share some highlights of our trip south soon!
For now, I will leave you with my own version of the smoothie I kept ordering at Whole Foods. It almost tastes like cheesecake - and yet is really good for you and your gut!
1 medium banana
1 cup frozen peaches (Or fresh)
3/4 cup kefir (I have been using goat milk kefir)
2 tsp grated ginger root
1/2 - 1 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp almond butter
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Enjoy - and try to stay warm in spite of this cold drink!
